The Paths Taken in the Gardens of Eden and the Garden of Gethsemani

Text Box: Let us revisit the Garden of Eden
•	Eden means pleasant
•	There was no labor pain
•	No injustice
•	No sins
However, in Romans 5:12 we read sin entered the world through one man. (Romans 5:12 Wherefore as by one man sin entered into this world, and by sin death; and so death passed upon all men, in whom all have sinned. )

Eve and Adam choice there will over the doctrine of God and being disobedience to God.

Psalms 20:14

Be thou exalted, O Lord, in thy own strength: we will sing and praise thy power.

John 1:29

The next day, John saw Jesus coming to him, and he saith: Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who taketh away the sin of the world.

Why did God find someone to take away sin and save us?

Isaiah 63:5

I looked about, and there was none to help: I sought, and there was none to give aid: and my own arm hath saved for me, and my indignation itself hath helped me.

  • Jesus is the arm of God
  • Jesus did not have a different will away from God
  • Jesus is not distinct from God

Psalm 49:6-9

Why shall I fear in the evil day? the iniquity of my heel shall encompass me.

They that trust in their own strength, and glory in the multitude of their riches,

No brother can redeem, nor shall man redeem: he shall not give to God his ransom,

Nor the price of the redemption of his soul: and shall labour for ever,

  • No one can redeem
  • The ransom for sin can not be covered by a price even the price of any man soul.
  • Two wrongs can not create right.

Why Jesus did come to the garden of Gethsemani?

Mathew 26:36

Then Jesus came with them into a country place which is called Gethsemani; and he said to his disciples: Sit you here, till I go yonder and pray.

·       To retrace of the steps and wills of Adam

·       To do the wills of God and undo the damage done (sin)

What does Gethsemani mean?

·       Gethsemane (from the Hebrew "Gat Shemanim", which means "oil press"). It was within a lot of Olive tree. What a perfect name.

Romans 5:12-15

Wherefore as by one man sin entered into this world, and by sin death; and so death passed upon all men, in whom all have sinned.

For until the law sin was in the world; but sin was not imputed, when the law was not.

But death reigned from Adam unto Moses, even over them also who have not sinned after the similitude of the transgression of Adam, who is a figure of him who was to come.

But not as the offence, so also the gift. For if by the offence of one, many died; much more the grace of God, and the gift, by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

·       The 1st Adam did his will and brought sin into the world but the 2nd Adam (Jesus Christ) which is the arm of God retraced the steps of Adam and take away our sin.

700 years before Christ Isaiah prophecies:

Isaiah 53:10

And the Lord was pleased to bruise him in infirmity: if he shall lay down his life for sin, he shall see a long-lived seed, and the will of the Lord shall be prosperous in his hand.

·       Sin begin in the Eden garden and the process of forgiveness started in the garden of Gethsemani

·       He was bruised and crashed like olive that sinners  like us can partake from the fresh oil and take away our sin

·       Give us a flowing water of life for ever

First process of restoration of sin

Mathew 26:37

And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to grow sorrowful and to be sad.

Luke 24:44

And his sweat became as drops of blood, trickling down upon the ground.

·       He grow sorrowful

·       His sweat became as drops of blood

·       God cursed Eve to be sorrowful and agony after eating the apple and passing to Adam.. Didn’t He?

Let us look at Genesis 3:16

To the woman also he said: I will multiply thy sorrows, and thy conceptions: in sorrow shalt thou bring forth children, and thou shalt be under thy husband's power, and he shall have dominion over thee.

·       Labor in pain and agony

Isaiah 61:3

To appoint to the mourners of Sion, and to give them a crown for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, a garment of praise for the spirit of grief: and they shall be called in it the mighty ones of justice, the planting of the Lord to glorify hint.

·       This the oil released from Jesus at the garden of Gethsemani. While we were dead eternal life is given to us by Jesus.

Second process of restoration of sin

·       He wore our curse in the form of thorn

Mathew 27:29

And platting a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand. And bowing the knee before him, they mocked him, saying: Hail, king of the Jews.

·       Didn’t Adam cursed with thorns and thistles

Genesis 3:18

Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou eat the herbs of the earth.

·    Paul asked God to take away the thorn that is from evil but Jesus said the grace of me is sufficient

·    Devil us the thorn as instrument of torment.

II Corinthians 12:7-9

And lest the greatness of the revelations should exalt me, there was given me a sting of my flesh, an angel of Satan, to buffet me.

For which thing thrice I besought the Lord, that it might depart from me.

And he said to me: My grace is sufficient for thee; for power is made perfect in infirmity. Gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

Third process of restoration of sin

Matthew 27:48

And immediately one of them running took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar; and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

·     People think and say He had a problem summiting His will to the father

·    Jesus suffered and thirsty for you and me that we might not experience the thrust of hell.

·    Hell is a place of an imaginable thrust

Luke 16:24

And he cried, and said: Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, to cool my tongue: for I am tormented in this flame.

How could the one that said to the Samaritan women I give a of fountain of water, springing up into the life of everlasting shall thrust?

John 4:14

But the water that I will give him, shall become in him a fountain of water, springing up into life everlasting.

John 7:37-39

And on the last, and great day of the festivity, Jesus stood and cried, saying: If any man thirst, let him come to me, and drink.

He that believeth in me, as the scripture saith, Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Now this he said of the Spirit which they should receive, who believed in him: for as yet the Spirit was not given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

·       Jesus is water of life

·       He was thrusting for us

Fourth process of restoration of sin

·       He experienced darkness so we can leave in the light

·       700 years before Amos prophecies about the sun getting dark

Amos 8:9

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that the sun shall go down at midday, and I will make the earth dark in the day of light:

Mathew 27:45

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over the whole earth, until the ninth hour.

·       Jesus is the light of the world

John 1:4

In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

·       What happened at the cross was for you and me He tested darkness. Because in Hell there is darkness.

Matthew 8:12

But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into the exterior darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

·       Jesus took the sin away from us.

·       He was unfolding what happened in the garden of Eden at the garden of Gethsemani

·       Sin came in from First Adam and sin is taken away by the Second Adam that is Jesus Christ Lord from heaven.

Romans 5:15

But not as the offence, so also the gift. For if by the offence of one, many died; much more the grace of God, and the gift, by the grace of one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

The mischief at the garden of Eden was start to unfolded in the garden of Gethsemani

Why do people say Jesus had two different wills in Him one from the natural man in Him and the other to be from Devine nature? Did Jesus prayers indicate two distinct wills in him? Is that what the Bible says and teaches?

THE ANSWER IS NO.

Jesus never said or admitted to have a separate or parallel will of the father

To start with Jesus is Lord and the Lord is God (Look the article Who art thou Jesus? And The Power of God)

Second Jesus wills is one and the same as of the father

Let us look at the scripture

Luke 2:48-49

And seeing him, they wondered. And his mother said to him: Son, why hast thou done so to us? behold thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

And he said to them: How is it that you sought me? did you not know, that I must be about my father's business?

Mathew 26:39

And going a little further, he fell upon his face, praying, and saying: My Father, if it be possible, let this chalice pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Mathew 26:42

Again the second time, he went and prayed, saying: My Father, if this chalice may not pass away, but I must drink it, thy will be done.

John 5:19

Then Jesus answered, and said to them: Amen, amen, I say unto you, the Son cannot do any thing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doth, these the Son also doth in like manner.

John 5:30

I cannot of myself do any thing. As I hear, so I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Timothy 3:16

And evidently great is the mystery of godliness, which was manifested in the flesh, was justified in the spirit, appeared unto angels, hath been preached unto the Gentiles, is believed in the world, is taken up in glory.

·       When the fullness of time came God manifested in flesh

1 Corinthians 1: 24

But unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

·       Jesus is the power and wisdom of God

·       Jesus is the arm of the father

Mathew 1:23

Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

·       Emmanuel means God with us

Isaiah 26:19 (King James Version)

19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

·       Talks about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ

Act 20:28

Take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

·       Paul letter to the church stats the oneness of God - the blood of Jesus is the blood of God.

·       There is One will and One God

John 6:38

Because I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.

John 8:28

Jesus therefore said to them: When you shall have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know, that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as the Father hath taught me, these things I speak:

·       Jesus is the true God –“shall you know that I am he.”

§       Isaiah 43:10-11 – “understand that I am he

·       I John 5:20 – “This is the true God, and eternal life

John 12:49

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father who sent me, he gave me commandment what I should say, and what I should speak.

·       I have not spoken of myself – When Jesus speak God is speaking

John 14:10

Do you not believe, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. But the Father who abideth in me, he doth the works.

·       Believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me. God himself was speaking and does the works.

Colossians 2:6

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead corporeally;

II Corinthians 5:19

For God indeed was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing to them their sins; and he hath placed in us the word of reconciliation.

·       God is in Christ

·       In Jesus dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead (singular) corporeally.

Isaiah 50:5-6

The Lord God hath opened my ear, and I do not resist: I have not gone back.

I have given my body to the strikers, and my cheeks to them that plucked them: I have not turned away my face from them that rebuked me, and spit upon me.

·    Jesus dead in a cross - whosoever believeth in Him, may not perish; but may have life everlasting as the Israelites were saved from the fiery serpents.

Number 21:4-9

And they marched from mount Hor, by the way that leadeth to the Red Sea, to compass the land of Edom. And the people began to be weary of their journey and labour:

And speaking against God end Moses, they said: Why didst thou bring us out of Egypt, to die in the wilderness? There is no bread, nor have we any waters: our soul now loatheth this very light food.

Wherefore the Lord sent among the people fiery serpents, which bit them and killed many of them.

Upon which they came to Moses, and said: We have sinned, because we have spoken against the Lord and thee: pray that he may take away these serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

And the Lord said to him: Make brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: whosoever being struck shall look on it, shall live.

Moses therefore made a brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: which when they that were bitten looked upon, they were healed.

 John 3:14-15

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him, may not perish; but may have life everlasting.

I Corinthians 1:23

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews indeed a stumblingblock, and unto the Gentiles foolishness:
